Rev. Dr. Diane Christopherson

The Rev. Dr. Diane Christopherson is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC) and board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. She has ministry experience as a youth director; campus minister (U of MI-Ann Arbor and BGSU); adjunct faculty in higher education (primarily teaching courses on racial and cultural minorities); chaplain in hospital, hospice and long-term care facilities; and interim senior minister in seven congregations across the country (VT, NY, RI, TX, CA and OH). Diane has a bachelor of science in music therapy from the U of MN; a master of arts in theological studies from Bethel Seminary, St. Paul, MN; a master of divinity equivalency and doctor of ministry from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities; interim ministry training from the Interim Ministry Network; and training in mediation and conflict management from the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center and Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation. She has served in middle judicatory settings of the UCC as well as in congregations as a diversity trainer (e.g., related to multiethnic, multicultural issues and LGBTQI+ inclusion) and in the national setting on the Wider Church Ministries Board (e.g., global ministries) and on a Governance Team that worked to propose a restructuring of the national setting of the denomination that was ultimately adopted at a General Synod meeting. Diane has led mission/service-learning trips in the U.S., Honduras, Haiti, and Mexico, has attended World Council of Churches Assemblies since 1998, and Parliament of the World’s Religions Gatherings since 2015.
She has an adopted son from Honduras who lives in the Toledo area, and three school-aged grandchildren. Diane has served as the pianist/accompanist at Collingwood Presbyterian Church since December 2021. She will be preaching at Christ Presbyterian Church once a month and serve as a pastor-liason to the worship, mission and faith formation teams as well as providing spiritual care.
