Small Groups You can't be Christian alone. We need other believers to hold us accountable, to affirm and challenge us, to comfort us and listen to us, and to help us better understand this world God created. That's why we have a Small Group Ministry. Our desire is for each person to be connected to a group of people who will help them to be the best Christian they can be.

NEW - God and the Game

A new small opportunity for men who are seeking the fellowship of other guys and a deeper connection with God.  You don't have to be a football enthusiast to join this group; you simply have to enjoy watching the game and the camaraderie of other guys.  Participants will engage in "2 minute devotional drills" during commerical breaks while watching the first half of the Monday Night Football game together.  Then, at half time, group members are free to leave.  This group will meet on scheduled Monday evenings during the Fall at 8:00 p.m. in the members homes.  Led by Rev. A group for individuals or couples in their twenties and thirties who wants to connect with other young adults in the church.  Meets at 7:00 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month. Led by Rev. Kris Schondelmeyer

Community Outreach

A group that offers self-scheduling volunteer services at St. Anne's Hospital, Toledo Hospital, and the Northwest Ohio Area Office on Aging or another agency of the member's choosing. Service experiences are enriched by Bible Study and intentional personal relationships. Meets every other Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Led by Wayne Mauk

Joys and Challenges

A group for sharing ideas and concerns about aging, losing a spouse, being alone and living alone, and for exploring how faith can help. Meets the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the church.  Led by Sherry Gilbert

Deborah Circle

This women's small group meets the second Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in a group member's home or at the church. The group participates in Bible study, mission, and fellowship.  All women of the church are encouraged to join. Led by Mary Lou Forsee

Men's Group

A group that invites men of all ages to develop relationships, share experiences, discover new truths, and grow in God to be the men that God created them to be. The group members participate in book studies and Bible studies.  Meets every Thursday at 6:45 a.m. at the church. Led by Tim Lawrence

Mom’s Group

A group for moms of all ages with kids of all ages!  This group meets at the church one Wednesday each month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to discuss parenting issues and offer each other support and encouragement.  If you have young children they are welcome to join you; there is space for them to play. Led by Kate Backoff

Sarah Circle

This women's group meets periodically at the church, in group members homes, and out in the community.  Sarah Circle has also organized care packages for our friends and loved ones serving in the military in the Middle East. Led by Diane Kowalski

Sewing and Service

A group for those who sew, quilt, knit, crochet, or embroider. Members use their skills to work on blankets and projects together and individually for donation to those in need.  Their work is donated to  organizations like The Linus Project and others. The group meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the church.  The group is open to all.  No experience necessary....just a willingess to learn. Led by Hattie Kate Howell
