Our Purpose Statement
The Youth Ministry of Christ Presbyterian Church exists to invite young people to experience God's radical love, to connect them in Christian community, and to help them grow as disciples of Jesus, encouraging them to serve others with their gifts and to honor God with their lives.

How We Live Out Our Purpose
Our Youth Ministry is for students in grades six through twelve. We strive to live out our purpose statement through various programs and special events while acknowledging that our youth and their familes live busy, heavily scheduled lives.  To that end, we seek to provide a firm faith foundation for our youth so that worship, discipleship, and mission become lifelong priorities.

Our youth are encouraged to attend worship weekly with their families. We have a special youth Bible study held during the sermon time of our Contemporary Service. Youth hear the same scripture being preached for the day, but are challenged to interact with the text and apply it to their specific teenage context.

Sunday nights are Youth Night. Our youth come together for dinner and fellowship and then break into small groups for deeper conversation and activity, or engage in mission projects or event planning.  Our youth deepen their commitment to, and friendship with one another through participating in lock-ins, going on ski trips, going to concerts, and taking day trips to Ceder Point and The University of Toledo Student Rec Center.

We encourage our youth to be actively involved in mission and service. Many of our youth participate in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine each year, fasting to raise money for an awareness of our global hunger problem. Our high school students attend a workcamp for one week each summer, joining with other young Christians to renovate and repair homes of those in need.  Additionally, our youth serve others by visiting the elderly in nursing homes, serving meals to the homeless, packaging food at the local food bank, making blankets for shelters, and assisting members with yard work and various household tasks.
